Definitely the boobs vs bum size is an issue for me because my bum is a 12-14 and my cup size is only B so some stuff fit a bit funny. What I've found though in terms of boosting confidence in the bedroom is to wear thigh high socks with the sexy stuff and then I think that gives the eye more things to focus on than just the underwear.
